Bumble Hill will only use white or palest fawn machos with excellent frame, fibre and fertility.  Because of our production orientation by the late 1990s we realised that the Australian suri lacked fleece weight due to low follicular density and sought stud males that added density without compromising the three “f”s.

The Bumble Hill breeding programme over the last four years has utilized three superior Bumble Hill bred suri males; Bumble Hill Pageant and Bumble Hill Sleuth, both full Accoyo with important US Accoyo suri sires and grandsires, including Uribe, Ganador, Sedoso and Santiago, whilst the third stud male, Bumble Hill Hallie’s Comet, was bred from pure Peruvian Purrumbete genetics.

Other renowned suri stud males in our genetics include:
Peruvian Senator, Peruvian Rufilio, Peruvian Pride of Alianca, GCSA Trademark,  Pperuvian Amador, Peruvian Matiz, Peruvian Benedicto, Peruvian Animale and Peru Accoyo Armadeus
In 2007 we introduced Surilana Piccolo, the 2006 National Supreme Champion Suri from the wonderful sire, Peruvian Icalon and in Spring 2008 will be once again return to our own breeding, using Bumble Hill Krishna (reputedly the suri macho with the highest follicular density of any alpaca  tested by Dr. Jim Watts anywhere in the world).
