Bumble Hill Alpaca Stud was established in 1995 and now is a mid-sized stud with 200 plus animals (split 50/50 huacaya and suri).  Suris are located at “Tree Tops Park”, Mangrove Mountain (one hour north of Sydney) and huacayas at “Clairmount”, Orange located at 1100m on Mt. Canobolas.

Bumble Hill Principals Frank and Julienne Gelber, have a background in economics, textiles, management and rural consultancy making them well equipped to run an alpaca stud.  Julienne works the Orange farm with the input of Ben Watts, a fine wool stud master.  Annalisa Tomich, who has had 15 years in livestock stud management and 10 years alpaca experience, manages the Mangrove Mt. property.

Both farms utilize sustainable farming practices -  objective management principles overlay an holistic approach to our farm, personnel and herd.  Our efficient farm layouts maximize staff utilization and safety and the comfort and performance of our livestock.
